I recently and methodically displayed how a man is saved, simply by calling and/or believing on the Lord Jesus Christ. Of course, this Biblical fact is totally unknown and foreign to organised religion, but our mandate is quite simple: get the gospel out, present the facts, refute error and then leave the recipient to digest and decide what they wish to do with this information.

All of the verses that I cited previously came entirely from dozens of handwritten pages, dating back some 5-6 years, which I had archived and almost forgotten about. After re-reading and preparing for an article, it soon became apparent that I probably had enough information to fill this one too.

Therefore, for this article, I will be focusing on a consortium of different subjects, some of which will be of help to those that do apologetical work, whether on the streets with members of the cults or in online forums.

JESUS IS JEHOVAH GOD

Is. 44:6: “Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last, and beside me there is no God.”

Rev. 1:8: “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”

Rev. 1:12-13: “And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.”

Rev. 22:16: “I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.”

ONE GOD, ONE SAVIOUR

Is. 43:11: “I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.”

Matt. 11:28,29:  “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”

Is. 44:8: “Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.”

1 John 5:20: “And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”

JESUS IS THE LORD FROM HEAVEN

Matt. 11:25: “At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.”

1 Cor. 15:47: “The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.”

GOD THE FATHER HAS YET TO BE SEEN BY MANKIND

John 1:18: “No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.”

John 6:46: “Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.”

ANNIHILATION REFUTED

Rev. 19:20: “And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.”

Rev. 20:1-3: “And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.”

Rev. 20:10: “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.”

THOSE IN HELL, FORCED TO SING FOR GOD

Is. 44:23: “Sing, O ye heavens; for the LORD hath done it: shout, ye lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, ye mountains, O forest, and every tree therein: for the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel.”

FALSE TEACHERS CONDEMNED FOR MAKING THE RIGHTEOUS SAD

Ezek. 13:22: “Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life.”

WATER BAPTISM DOESN’T SAVE SINNER

Mark 16:16: “He that believeth [justification before God] and is baptized [justification before man] shall be saved [forever]; but he that believeth not [no faith, no salvation] shall be damned” [Forever.]

Acts 8:37-38: “And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart [justification before God], thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God [see 1 John 5:5.] And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized  [justification before men] him.” [No tongues mentioned.]

Acts 16:31: “And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ [justification before God], and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”

Acts 16:33: “And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized [justification before men], he and all his, straightway.”

Acts 16:34: “And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house” [No infant baptism here.]

Acts 22:16: “And now why tarriest thou? Arise [justification before God], and be baptized [justification before men], and wash away thy sins [water symbolically washes away sins, but the blood of Christ does this for real], calling on the name of the Lord.”

1 Pet. 3:21-22: “The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.”

SABBATH ONLY GIVEN TO THE JEWS

Ezek. 20:12: “Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them.”

SOLO FELLOWSHIP, WHEN APOSTASY RIFE

Jer. 15:17: “I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand: for thou hast filled me with indignation.”

PEOPLE CAN DECEIVE THEMSELVES FROM THEIR OWN DREAMS

Jer. 29:8: “For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed.”

SALVATION PROPHESIED IN THE OLD TESTAMENT

Ezek. 34:16: “I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.”

Luke 19:10: “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

Ezek. 34:23: “And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.”

John 10:11: “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.”

Ezek. 36:25: “Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you [a picture of Christ’s blood], and ye shall be clean [exonerated]: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.”

John 13:10: “Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit [already saved by faith in Christ]: and ye are clean, but not all” [Judas and other false converts, from John 6:66.]

Ezek. 36:26: “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.”

2 Cor. 5:17: “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

CREATION OF ISRAEL FORETOLD IN THE OLD TESTAMENT

Ezek. 36:24: “For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.”

GOD’S JUDGMENT WON’T ALLOW SUICIDE IN THE TRIBULATION 

Rev. 9:6: “And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.”
